Deltek Legacy Deltek CostPoint ERP Financial ERP n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, KBR implemented Deltek CostPoint as an ERP Financial application to centralize accounting and intercompany control across its corporate reporting structure. The rollout targeted intercompany accounting for more than 300 separate legal entities, corporate general and administrative expense accounting, multicurrency transaction monitoring, and month end financial close workflows. Deltek CostPoint was configured to support intercompany trade management, multicurrency controls and exchange rate monitoring, general ledger consolidation, and month end close procedures including flux analysis. Configuration work emphasized intercompany settlement workflows and controls to maintain balanced transactions and to control foreign exchange impacts of intercompany trade. The implementation scope covered accounting, intercompany accounting teams, and corporate finance functions, with design and conversion activities focused on bringing entity accounting into the Deltek CostPoint environment. Conversion activities included intercompany process development and design for company conversion into Deltek CostPoint and hands on support for month end close tasks and financial close governance. Governance and process changes were led by accounting leadership who guided process design, month end close orchestration, and intercompany settlement controls. Operational practice adjustments included formalizing intercompany workflows, multicurrency monitoring procedures, and close governance to support the new ERP Financial platform.

Sterling Talent Solutions Legacy Sterling Background Check BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2019 2019
In 2019 KBR implemented Sterling Background Check to support pre-employment screening in the BackGround Screening category. The deployment was applied to corporate employee populations in Accounting & Finance, Human Resources, and IT and was embedded into onboarding, rehiring, and offboarding workflows. Sterling Background Check was configured to handle screening request orchestration and typical background screening workflows aligned with hire and termination events. Screening initiation was operationalized alongside I-9 completion and E-Verify processing, reflecting integrated HR compliance activities within hiring pipelines. The implementation integrated directly with Workday HRIS to initiate Sterling background requests and to update employee records, and it interoperated with SAP for infotype updates, direct deposit, federal and state tax information, terminations, invoice generation, and reconciliation of pre-employment screening charges. HR operations also referenced MicroFilm, MicroFische, and Documentum for subpoena handling and employee records processing. Governance placed screening initiation and case management within HR onboarding processes, with the US HR department functional mailbox and HR business partners managing escalations and record maintenance. Process responsibilities included maintaining accurate electronic employee files, coordinating orientation updates tied to screening status, and processing payments and invoices for screening services in SAP.

IBM Legacy IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, KBR implemented IBM Maximo as an Enterprise Asset Management solution. The initiative focused on an upgrade and deployment from Maximo version 6.2 to 7.1 and included scoping of data sources and business processes for managing assets, contracts, maintenance, procurement and inventory. The deployment configured core asset and maintenance modules including asset records, work orders, job plans, vendors, contracts, procurement and inventory controls, together with SLAs, escalations, templates and GL account mappings. Security and access were structured through roles and security groups, and the directory server was configured using LDAP to provide authentication and authorization. Reporting was implemented using BIRT to surface Maximo data in multiple report formats. Installations were completed on both Linux and Windows operating system environments, with database creation and application server deployment on WebLogic, and Maximo constructs created such as Organizations, Sites, Locations, Start Centers, domains and currency codes to support operational segmentation. Data was imported from existing legacy boxes into IBM Maximo 7.1, and integration interfaces were developed using the Maximo Integration Framework with custom code to exchange transactions with SAP and Oracle ERP applications. The program included migration from development to test and execution of functional, system, performance and user acceptance testing prior to cutover. Governance was driven by collaboration between IT, the project manager and the business analyst to define configuration requirements, role based access, escalation workflows and SLA enforcement for operational teams in asset management, maintenance and procurement. After cutover to production the implementation team provided ongoing support for system availability, enhancements and capacity planning for new users.
