Nelnet Payment Services Legacy Nelnet K-12 School Management Education ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2024
In 2020 the Diocese of Fresno implemented Nelnet K-12 School Management as an Education ERP to standardize operations across its network of elementary and K-12 schools. The implementation used FACTS, a Nelnet company, and was executed as a staged, multi year rollout documented over four years to unify data and reporting across 21 schools in the diocese. The deployment included explicit FACTS modules, implemented together under the Nelnet K-12 School Management program, namely Student Information System, Financial Aid Management, Application and Enrollment, Payment Plans, Advanced Accounting, and Parent Alert. Configuration work focused on aligning student record management, tuition and payment workflows, grant and financial aid processes, and diocesan level accounting structures to produce consolidated reporting. Operational coverage spanned 21 school sites within the Diocese of Fresno, centralizing admissions, enrollment processing, student information management, payment processing, financial aid administration, accounting, and parent communications under a single Education ERP platform. The approach emphasized data consolidation for cross school reporting rather than discrete point solutions, keeping integrations internal to FACTS module interoperability as described in the case study. Governance and rollout were managed at the diocesan level with a staged implementation cadence to synchronize processes and reporting across schools, and to enable standardized workflows for enrollment and finance teams. Outcomes recorded in the FACTS case study include faster reporting, improved responsiveness to grant opportunities, and an explicit award of 95,000 dollars won in a preschool grant following the program implementation.
