In 2015, Lear Corporation implemented Oracle PeopleSoft Payables as its AP Automation system. The deployment established Oracle PeopleSoft Payables as the centralized accounts payable platform supporting invoice intake, approval workflows, supplier payment execution, and payables reporting across the enterprise finance organization.
Configuration work focused on core PeopleSoft payables capabilities, including invoice capture and validation, multi level approval routing, payment file generation, supplier master data management, and integration points for payroll reconciliation. Oracle PeopleSoft Payables was configured to interoperate with the companys existing PeopleSoft payroll modules to support payroll review, reporting, submission and problem resolution workflows with an emphasis on accuracy and promptness.
The implementation included explicit integrations with SAP, AS400, Sage Asset Management, and General Motors software environments to align vendor, asset and financial master data and to exchange transaction level payables and payment information. These system interfaces supported end to end AP processes by feeding invoice, payment and reconciliation data to downstream financial systems and by receiving payroll and asset related cost allocations used in payables processing.
Governance centered on centralized AP controls and structured exception handling to support timely problem resolution and reporting. Operational ownership rested with finance and payroll functions, with documented workflows for submission, review and resolution that reinforced accuracy and promptness in payables and payroll related activities.

In 2015, Lear Corporation implemented UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager (ex Kronos Workforce Absence Manager). The deployment targeted Absence and Leave Management to centralize absence tracking and standardize time-off administration across operational sites within the automotive business.
The UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager implementation was configured to provide core absence tracking, leave entitlement management, scheduled absence visibility, and standardized reporting capabilities typical of Absence and Leave Management platforms. Configuration work focused on aligning absence rules and approval workflows with company HR policy and plant-level scheduling practices to support HR and plant operations teams.
A dedicated project team analyzed Kronos Workforce Central data for three plants to identify factors driving absenteeism and to build predictive models. That analysis produced time-series models used to predict daily and weekly absenteeism, with reported accuracy results varying from 87 to 91 percent versus actual results, demonstrating the application data was leveraged for operational forecasting and workforce planning.
Governance and rollout responsibilities were managed through IT and HR collaboration, with IT staff leading implementation cadence, requirements capture, and stakeholder communication. The program established standardized team processes and procedures to support ongoing absence management, reporting, and cross-functional decision making.
