In 2013, Liberty Furniture implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as its ERP Financial application. The Dynamics GP deployment established a centralized finance and distribution platform for the Atlanta based distributor and manufacturer of residential furniture, creating a single application for core accounting and operational transactions.
The implementation of Microsoft Dynamics GP covered core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory and order management capabilities typical of ERP Financial deployments in distribution businesses. Configurations focused on transaction processing, chart of accounts standardization, and inventory valuation workflows to support order to cash and procure to pay operational flows.
In March 2012 Liberty Furniture deployed Vantage Point EDI for Microsoft Dynamics GP, integrating an EDI orchestration layer with Microsoft Dynamics GP and leveraging the Vantage Point EDI Scheduler for automated processing. The Vantage Point EDI setup required no customizations to Microsoft Dynamics GP and used Data Masons prebuilt content with over 7,200 maps for more than 1,200 trading partners to accelerate trading partner onboarding and enable kit supply processing within minutes.
The combined environment supported finance, distribution, and order fulfillment teams with automated EDI flows that reduce manual intervention and standardize trading partner communications. Governance emphasized scheduler driven automation, centralized map management through the Data Masons library, and configuration control inside Microsoft Dynamics GP to maintain consistent order to cash processing.
