| SAP | Legacy | SAP Concur Expense | Expense Management | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Lithko Contracting implemented SAP Concur Expense as its Expense Management application. The deployment targeted corporate finance and field expense workflows within the construction business, aligning expense capture and reimbursement processes with project cost accounting across the organization of approximately 2,500 employees.
The SAP Concur Expense implementation focused on core Expense Management capabilities, including digital expense reporting, receipt imaging and mobile capture, policy rules enforcement, approval routing, and configured expense types to support project-level cost allocation and per diem handling. Configuration work emphasized audit controls and automated validation to reduce manual invoice handling and to standardize expense classification for construction project accounting.
Integrations were a central part of the implementation, Concur was integrated with the company payroll and benefits ecosystem using a custom report-based interface rather than Concur’s pre-built ADP connector, because the pre-built connector did not meet Lithko’s requirements. The deployment also ties SAP Concur Expense outputs into 401K vendor feeds and into IDI for rate reduction and certified payroll reporting, enabling exchange of expense and payroll-related data for compliance reporting.
Governance was organized under centralized finance stewardship with manager approval workflows and policy enforcement embedded in SAP Concur Expense, and reconciliation processes were adapted to consume the custom report exports to payroll and certified payroll systems. Operational ownership emphasized controlled configuration of expense categories and approval hierarchies to support multi-site project reporting and compliance requirements.

| ADP | Legacy | ADP Workforce Now | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016, Lithko Contracting implemented ADP Workforce Now to centralize payroll and HR operations across its U.S. business. ADP Workforce Now was adopted as the company Core HR platform to process payroll for two company codes, maintain records for nonpaid employees, and administer benefits, unemployment filings, and multi-jurisdictional tax obligations.
The deployment configured payroll processing, benefits administration, core HR recordkeeping, onboarding templates, and new hire and termination templates to enforce corporate compliance where payroll is administered. Administrative users were provisioned across the country as practitioners and managers to establish workflow routing, while corporate retained compliance controls; Lithko planned to add an additional company code and implement onboarding templates as part of the rollout.
Integrations implemented with ADP Workforce Now include a custom integration to Concur rather than the pre-built connector, connections to 401K vendors for retirement deductions, and use of IDI for rate reduction and certified payroll reporting at ADP’s suggestion. Operational coverage extends across payroll, HR, benefits administration, tax filing, unemployment processing, and certified payroll reporting, with the entire organization using the platform.
Governance is based on role-based practitioner and manager permissions combined with corporate-level compliance templates, using new hire and termination templates to keep administrative staff distributed while centralizing payroll compliance. Reported platform limitations include an absence of practitioner-to-practitioner workflow and document cloud reporting that can be slow or unreliable, which impacts cross-practitioner handoffs and document retrieval. Documented outcomes include progress toward paperless personnel files, elimination of paper paystubs, and expanded employee self-service for direct deposit, address, and W4 updates.

| Penta Technologies | Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne | Penta Construction | Construction ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 Lithko Contracting implemented Penta Construction as its Construction ERP, replacing Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and centralizing transactional finance workflows. The deployment focused on accounts payable and accounts receivable operations within a shared service environment, managing supplier invoice processing volume of approximately 15,000 invoices per month and supporting collections, AIA progress billings, and billing history across multiple acquisitions.
Configuration and modules implemented in Penta Construction included supplier invoice processing, electronic payments, AIA progress billing functionality, collections management, 1099 electronic filing, cash application, and vendor master record maintenance. The team created and loaded data conversion files for open AP, AR, billing history, vendors, and customers to preserve transactional continuity during the conversion, and they implemented automated waiver collection via file upload to create, collect, and store supplier waivers.
Integrations and payment controls were operationalized during the rollout, including positive pay file setup, ACH file setup, and commercial card payment configuration for acquisition entities. Operational coverage extended to AP, AR, purchasing, and operations teams with responsibilities for bank reconciliation, subledger reconciliation, cross border payments and global bank operations support tied to the Penta Construction deployment.
Governance and process transformation accompanied the technical implementation, with KPI frameworks established to monitor invoice approval and exception rates, continuous process documentation maintained by finance leadership, and SOX compliance activities introduced. Reported outcomes from the implementation and subsequent programs included maintaining 90 percent current AR balances, decreasing DSO by more than four days, reducing exception processing from 15 percent to 7 percent, increasing DPO by more than 15 days, and generating approximately 3 million dollars in annual cash rebates from the commercial card program since 2018.
