In 2017 Lloyds Banking Group moved from SAP to Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform to drive a group-level finance transformation. The selection of Oracle Cloud ERP was positioned to address the bank s need to support very high transaction volumes from retail and commercial operations, to standardize finance processes, and to provide continuous access to Oracle s cloud innovation for the finance function.
The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation focused on core financial management capabilities typical of ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, statutory and management reporting, and consolidation. Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to support centralized financial close and reporting workflows and to enforce standardized accounting rules and controls across the finance organization.
Operationally the program was anchored in Lloyds Banking Group s finance data and architecture, integrating Oracle Cloud ERP with internal finance data stores and transaction feeds required to process the bank s monthly transaction volumes. The deployment covered the group finance function and related finance processes, creating a single financial management platform for finance operations and data architecture governance.
Governance changes emphasized process standardization and a shift to cloud-driven release and update rhythms, aligning finance operating procedures to Oracle Cloud ERP functionality. Reported objectives included greater business agility, cost reduction, process standardization, and continuous innovation enabled by Oracle Cloud ERP, reflecting the priorities communicated by the bank s Head of Finance Data and Architecture.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Lloyds Banking Group implemented Workday Compensation within its Compensation Management environment. The deployment established Workday Compensation as the enterprise compensation application to support HR pay governance and structured reward planning.
Configuration emphasized Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation modules, with explicit functional coverage for Severance processing, calculated fields and reporting capabilities. Workday Compensation was set up to support standard compensation workflows including merit and bonus cycles, variable pay modeling, eligibility rules and multi-step approval routing, driven by calculated fields and configurable reports.
Operational ownership rested with People Consulting and HR reward teams, reflected by an internal People Consultant for Workday who functions as a long-term functional SME and an accredited Workday Compensation Pro. Governance practices centered on role-based configuration control, calculated-field administration and formal reporting sign-off to align configuration with compensation policy.
The implementation prioritized centralized configuration, reporting instrumentation and SME enablement so Workday Compensation could provide Compensation Management functionality across HR, rewards, payroll and talent processes.

| Adobe Systems | Legacy | Adobe WorkFront | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2019 |
In 2018 Lloyds Banking Group implemented Adobe WorkFront to automate marketing workflows and accelerate content time to market. The deployment positions Adobe WorkFront within the Business Process Management category to centralize campaign requests, approvals and asset tracking across the bank's marketing operations.
The implementation scope focused on supporting campaign managers and content teams, including the digital team and Internet banking team, and incorporated stakeholders from risk and product review functions as well as internal and external creative agencies. The solution supports the company’s population of campaign managers by providing a single location for requests, task management and approvals, while preserving flexibility for different brands, channels and media.
Configuration included creation of 22 bespoke templates in ten months and automation scenarios implemented with Workfront Fusion, resulting in 76 scenarios to eliminate manual data entry and repetitive tasks. Operational workflows are configured so a submitted request automatically creates a project, assigns project owners and tasks, routes assets through reviewer approvals, and pushes final versions to Adobe Experience Manager Assets, with an Outlook plug in enabling notification handling from email. Integration points explicitly include Workfront Fusion for orchestration, Adobe Experience Manager Assets for asset storage and metadata transfer, and Adobe Target for sharing metadata to dashboards for expiry monitoring.
Governance was implemented around project and approval records to simplify regulatory auditability, with workflows maintaining a timeline of requests and approvals and automated project generation for asset expiry or renewal reviews. Implementation partners included Optima and Adobe Professional Services who worked with the marketing team to map requirements, build templates and operationalize the automated workflows.
Outcomes reported by Lloyds Banking Group include a 50% reduction in time to market for the digital team, 30% of the Internet banking team workflow automated, a rise in active daily users to 75% and a net promoter score improvement to negative two from as low as negative eighty three. The deployment produced 22 templates in ten months and delivered 76 automated scenarios that reduced manual steps across campaign workflows.
