In 2005 L'Occitane Group implemented Sage Business Cloud X3 (ex Sage ERP X3) as its core ERP Financial platform to centralize financial planning and reporting. The deployment targeted finance and accounting functions, supporting budgeting and forecasting workflows, P&L reporting, periodical KPI delivery, and Balanced Score Card reporting to various business leaders.
Sage Business Cloud X3 (ex Sage ERP X3) was configured to cover standard ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger management, accounts receivable processes, budgeting and forecasting, and financial reporting. The implementation supported development of ad hoc reports and financial projections, enabling FP&A teams to analyze deviations from plan and produce periodical business projections.
Operational use included month end and year end close activities, auditing of general ledger entries, reconciliation of expense accounts, and review and write off of accounts receivable balances. Finance teams exported and prepared reports in Excel and interfaced reporting outputs with other financial tools named in internal practice, including Prophix, Adonix, XEIS Raymark, and Counterpoint, for additional analysis and presentation.
Governance around financial workflows was reinforced through routine reporting of P&L results and KPIs to business leaders, and through collaborative analysis with other units on promotions and business initiatives.
