In 2017 Mattermark executed a reconciliation cleanup project focused on monthly recurring revenue across Salesforce, Google Sheet, and Sage Intacct. The effort centered on ensuring opportunity and recurring revenue records were aligned across CRM, spreadsheet staging, and the company's ERP Financial environment.
Sage Intacct was used as the system of record for revenue entries and general ledger posting. Configuration work emphasized revenue accounting workflows, journal entry processing, and posting requirements consistent with ERP Financial controls, with Intacct serving as the destination for recognized revenue and journal entries.
Integrations were operationalized between Salesforce, Google Sheet, Sage Intacct, and Bill.com. The process required verifying all opportunity data in Salesforce exists in Google Sheet, updating Salesforce data as needed, posting revenue entries and journal entries into Intacct, and routing vendor invoices into Bill.com to separate payables processing from revenue recognition.
The operational scope targeted finance and revenue accounting functions inside Mattermark, executed on a monthly reconciliation cadence. Governance changes introduced formal data verification checkpoints between CRM and spreadsheet staging and an operational handoff to Sage Intacct for ledger posting, establishing a repeatable reconciliation and posting workflow.
