In 2017, MBDA UK implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as part of an ERP Financial initiative supported by DXC Technology. DXC Technology was engaged to maintain and support MBDA UK's OpenText Document Records Management Environment and to ensure Content Server and SAP xECM functionality met agreed SLA requirements.
The engagement included implementation and configuration of all new OpenText DRM Module updates and changes, and the design and configuration of new SAP xECM connector functionality for various SAP modules. Work additionally encompassed SAP ECC 7 Workflow design and configuration alongside SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to orchestrate document lifecycles and automate workflow handoffs within ERP transactions.
Architecturally the environment centers on OpenText Content Server integrated with SAP xECM, with connector interfaces developed to exchange metadata and content between the records management layer and core ERP modules. Operational coverage focused on MBDA UK, with ongoing maintenance, module updates, and SLA-driven support to keep Content Server / SAP xECM functionality fully operational.
Governance emphasis was placed on configuration management for OpenText DRM updates, change control for connector releases, and workflow governance for SAP ECC 7 design artifacts, with DXC Technology operating under SLA obligations to provide operational support and configuration services. The implementation positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the transactional backbone integrated with an enterprise document records management environment, supporting records management and ERP transactional process workflows.

In 2020 MBDA UK deployed SAP Analytics Cloud as part of its international SAP S/4 HANA programme. SAP Analytics Cloud, classified under Analytics and BI, was implemented to provide enterprise reporting, planning and consolidated analytics across the SAP suite.
The implementation covered Group and main MBDA entities in France, the United Kingdom, Italy and Germany, and was delivered within a Greenfield S/4 HANA programme. More than 6,000 SAP end users and over 300 MBDA employees participated in the design phase, supported by a multi‑functional core team of approximately 80 people operating across four countries. The deployment explicitly targeted Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain, Programmes, Customer Services and Quality functions.
Main SAP modules delivered alongside SAP Analytics Cloud included Core S/4 HANA, BPC, GRC, MDG, Group reporting and extended warehouse management eWM, reflecting a consolidated SAP application footprint. SAP Analytics Cloud was implemented as the Analytics and BI layer to unify reporting and planning workflows, aligning dashboards and models with S/4 HANA financial and operational master data and with BPC planning capabilities.
Programme governance was structured as a central international programme lead responsible for blueprinting, development and deployment, with day to day management of the implementation partner and active engagement of part time subject matter experts. Stakeholder engagement was managed across all levels of MBDA, and the rollout spanned core corporate functions and multiple national entities.
