SAP Infor Lawson SAP Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, McCain Foods implemented SAP Business Suite for ERP Financial to create seamless end to end integration across its manufacturing and commercial footprint. Integrations were built to connect SAP Business Suite with existing supply chain systems, manufacturing operations and business support and analytical software, enabling consolidated transactional and analytical views. Operational coverage included finance, supply chain, product development and manufacturing functions, with master data and transactional flows unified to reduce reconciliation points and enable cross functional planning. Governance changes concentrated on standardized financial processes and centralized performance reporting, with workflows adjusted to reflect a single ERP Financial system of record. MicroStrategy Legacy MicroStrategy ONE Analytics Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2009 2018
In 2009, McCain Foods implemented MicroStrategy ONE Analytics as its enterprise analytics platform. McCain Foods deployed MicroStrategy ONE Analytics for Analytics and BI to support reporting, mobile analytics administration, and operational data validation workflows across its analytics organization. The implementation included maintaining and creating the MicroStrategy security model, configuring subscription processes triggered by ETL events, and scripting automated server restart logic with server administrators to recover MicroStrategy application nodes if they shut down. Project and process documentation was created to drive business notifications for outages and upcoming events, and the team executed platform upgrades from MicroStrategy 9.0.2 to 9.3 and from 9.3 to 9.4.1. Operational integration required regular coordination with WEB and AIX administrators to resolve operating system and application issues on MicroStrategy servers, and with Teradata and SQL DBAs to diagnose and resolve data issues reported by users. The implementation supported a clustered mobile environment, including installation of the MicroStrategy mobile application, creation and maintenance of iPad profiles, and ongoing mobile issue resolution and administration training. Governance and runbook changes were formalized through documented processes that triggered subscriptions based on ETL, business notification procedures for outages, and an ownership model that included lead administrators who trained junior resources. The lead role encompassed resolving critical and complex incidents, maintaining documentation, and evolving the security model to align with operational requirements. Operational responsibilities centered on platform stability, data integrity, and mobile administration rather than stated business outcomes. MicroStrategy ONE Analytics functioned as the central Analytics and BI platform for McCain Foods, touching reporting, ETL-driven distribution workflows, server administration, and crossfunctional support with DBAs and systems administrators.
