In 2010, Medecision implemented MIS Accounting, an ERP Financial application to centralize finance and accounting workflows. MIS Accounting provided core ERP Financial capabilities for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting within the Medecision technology environment.
Configuration and module work drew on recorded internal MIS development and operations experience, including prior programming in Cache' ObjectScript and SQL solutions, and administration of multiple MIS systems identified as Accounting, EDI and S&R. Implementation activities included configuring year end reporting routines, invoicing and transaction posting workflows, and establishing scripting and query workstreams consistent with Unix shell scripting, C language routines and Ingres SQL for custom financial queries and reports.
Operationally MIS Accounting was deployed into Medecision's MIS stack to support finance, billing and EDI related business functions, with governance oriented to finance process controls and scheduled job management under the internal operations team. The rollout emphasized integration with existing MIS operations and reporting workflows, with internal programmers and administrators responsible for configuration, testing and ongoing job schedule monitoring.
