TechnologyOne Legacy TechnologyOne ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment implemented TechnologyOne ERP. The deployment addressed ERP Financial requirements and centralized core financial management for the ministry. Configuration work focused on standard ERP Financial modules such as general ledger, accounts payable, and procurement interfaces, with category-aligned support for e-invoicing workflows and invoice processing automation. TechnologyOne ERP was configured to support finance and procurement business functions, and routine systems administration and configuration governance were incorporated into the implementation. Integrations included an explicit operational connection to FlexiPurchase, and the implementation ran alongside an e-Invoicing project to instrument electronic invoice receipt and processing. Operational coverage referenced Wellington and Wairarapa locations, and day-to-day ownership included a Systems Accountant responsible for TechnologyOne and FlexiPurchase administration. Governance and process restructuring used Promapp for process mapping and to redesign end-to-end workflows, and a Business Analyst and Implementation Advisor was engaged from Sep 2018 to Jun 2019 to support the e-Invoicing project. These staffed implementation activities emphasized process and system improvements while maintaining system administration and configuration controls.

SAP Legacy SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core HR HCM n/a 2019 2020
In 2019 the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as part of its Core HR deployment. The project encompassed SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central alongside Employee Central Payroll, Onboarding, Learning Management Systems and Performance and Goals modules, positioning SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the nucleus of the Core HR architecture. Testing and configuration work centered on functional configuration and end-to-end scenarios, with formal gap analysis, design, development and execution of functional test plans. The delivery included system integration testing, parallel payroll testing and user acceptance testing, plus data migration testing that covered both data level validation and application level validation. The engagement documented integration test cases and created traceability matrices where project documentation was limited. Integrations included Kronos workforce management and interfaces supporting People and Pay processes, with explicit integration testing to validate data flows between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and workforce management systems. Operational coverage was focused on MBIE People and Pay teams and involved business user testers across the organisation, who were supported and mentored through SIT, PPT and UAT phases. Governance used an agile defect management process for logging and retesting, with risks and issues routinely reported to the People and Pay Test Manager. A senior SAP test consultant acted as the SME, contributing to approximately 70% of configuration testing, SIT, parallel payroll testing and UAT, and provided testing best practices, templates and ongoing mentorship, earning positive recognition from peers and internal teams.
