In 1999, Mohegan Sun implemented IBM AS/400 to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities for corporate finance and accounting operations. The IBM AS/400 deployment was positioned as the central host for transaction processing and financial record keeping, supporting enterprise accounting workflows used across the organization.
The implementation centered on classic ERP Financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and financial reporting, configured on the AS/400 platform to handle batch processing and period-close workflows. Java based enterprise applications were developed alongside the AS/400 deployment to provide extended business logic, user-facing interfaces and process automation that interfaced with the iSeries-hosted ERP components.
Operational integration relied on host application interfaces between the IBM AS/400 environment and Java middleware, enabling data exchange and orchestration of financial processes. The rollout and ongoing development were governed through coordinated IT and finance development practices, with in-house Java and iSeries development resources maintaining core ERP application code and integrations used by finance, treasury and accounting teams.

| ADP | Legacy | ADP Workforce Now Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Mohegan Sun implemented ADP Workforce Now Benefits as its Benefits Administration solution to centralize benefits enrollment and compliance across enterprise HR operations. The rollout supported startup operations for the HR department across food and beverage, retail, and manufacturing sites in six states, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee, and staffed over 1000 positions while covering recruitment, employee relations, payroll, worker's compensation, unemployment, and benefits administration.
ADP Workforce Now Benefits was configured to manage core benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, long term disability and short term disability, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and COBRA enrollment and administration. Implementation work included setting up benefits enrollment workflows, configuring carrier feeds and eligibility rules, and creating custom reporting capabilities using SQL Reporting to deliver executive dashboards and operational reports. The program also encompassed benefits counseling and employee education as part of the operational configuration.
The implementation integrated ADP benefits workflows with a broad operational toolset named in project documentation, including Job Logic Applicant Tracking, Rite Track, Empower Time, Greenshades, Snagajob, and Talent Wise for applicant tracking and timekeeping interoperability. Project teams managed the implementation and transfer of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains HR and payroll functions into the ADP environment to unify HR and payroll records. Carrier integrations were established with Anthem BC/BS, Charles Schwab, The Hartford, Health Equity, and AFLAC to enable vendor-side enrollment, eligibility exchanges, and plan administration.
Governance work included researching and ensuring compliance with state and federal employment and benefits law across six jurisdictions, training managers on policy application, and advising on employee relations, payroll, benefits, and claims handling. The HR team established streamlined custom reports for the executive team, reorganized HR staff responsibilities for recruitment, compensation, benefits, and payroll operations, and worked collaboratively with vendors to operationalize carrier feeds and benefits processes. The implementation team also handled complex employee relations matters and represented the organization in defense of labor charges.
Outcomes explicitly recorded in project notes include successful management of ACA 1095 and 1094 reporting for the 2015 and 2016 reporting years after resolving multiple software issues, successful defense of labor-related charges on behalf of the LLC, and ongoing process simplification to reduce administrative complexity and focus HR resources on core goals.

| Agilysys | Legacy | Agilysys Lodging Management System | Real Estate Property Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, Mohegan Sun implemented Agilysys Lodging Management System as its Property Management platform across its Connecticut and Pennsylvania properties. The deployment centered on guest-facing and front-desk functions that let guests book rooms, perform check-in, and communicate with the front desk, integrating hotel operations into the company’s broader leisure and hospitality environment.
Agilysys Lodging Management System was configured to operate within a service-oriented, distributed architecture that includes load-balanced entry points and an ESB farm to transform, remediate, and route traffic. Functional capabilities emphasized in the implementation include reservation processing, check-in workflow orchestration, and front-desk communication channels, with the LMS serving as the property management suite that ties those capabilities to point-of-sale and back-of-house systems.
The implementation integrates Adobe CQ AEM for web content and customer-facing sites, a Java-based Mule Enterprise Service Bus for session and transaction routing, and WebSphere application servers hosted on an IBM i operating environment for domain-level services. Backend persistence and messaging span multiple SQL Server and DB2 databases, as well as internally developed applications that use WebSphere MQ and JMS, while gaming application systems on IBM i are connected through the ESB to ensure coordinated operations between hotel and gaming functions. The company’s application stack composition was reported as approximately 60% Java, 30% XML, and 10% .NET.
Governance and operational ownership were led by George Lee as Lead Application Architect, responsible for application development and platform integration across properties and systems. Given the inherent risk of a service-oriented architecture where a single component can cause customer-facing failures, Mohegan Sun instrumented end-to-end monitoring with AppDynamics to accelerate diagnosis and alert IT when distributed components or connections are failing, enabling faster troubleshooting across the Property Management landscape.
