| FIS Global | Fis Deep Pool NTAS | Fis Deep Pool Mantra | Transfer Agency | Investment Management | n/a | 2017 | 2017 | In 2017 MUFG Investor Services Canada implemented Fis Deep Pool Mantra for Transfer Agency, replacing the earlier Fis Deep Pool NTAS as the central transfer agency platform. The rollout focused on MUFG Investor Services Canada operations and application management teams responsible for investor servicing workflows within Canada. Fis Deep Pool Mantra was configured to support core Transfer Agency functional modules including investor recordkeeping, transaction processing, corporate actions handling, unit pricing and shareholder communications, reflecting standard Transfer Agency capabilities. The implementation included data migration activities from Fis Deep Pool NTAS, planned application upgrades and formal decommission steps for the phased retirement of NTAS, with configuration work driven by client account and investor onboarding requirements. The deployment architecture and integration points emphasized database and middleware interoperability, with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle/Sybase cited as back end platforms and Web Services used for system-to-system connectivity. Integrations were aligned with CRM and IT operations tooling, and the program included planning for AWS and Azure cloud migration activities consistent with existing cloud migration experience on the team. Governance and operational ownership were structured through application management and IT Service Management practices, using SDLC processes and Jira for delivery tracking, and vendor management oversight for the Fis Deep Pool Mantra relationship. Technical Product Manager and IT Business Analyst roles supported daily operational governance, data migration validation, upgrade coordination and the application decommission sequence. |
