Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2013 2013
In 2013 NRMA implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform. The implementation explicitly included Oracle E-Business Suite Financials, Oracle Business Intelligence and Oracle Hyperion Planning to establish a unified financial management, reporting and planning stack. The Oracle E-Business Suite Financials configuration targeted standard ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and financial reporting, alongside integrated planning via Oracle Hyperion Planning. Oracle Business Intelligence was provisioned to centralize financial reporting and to feed planning and management reporting workflows. Concurrently Oracle provided Oracle Real-Time Decisions and an Oracle CRM build, with the CRM build scheduled for completion toward the end of the calendar year and deployment to follow in 2014. Oracle Real-Time Decisions was implemented as an automated analytical decisioning layer to deliver recommendations at the point of interaction, and to enable design of service levels and promotions and the ability to reward customer behaviour without requiring routine report requests to IT. Rollout and governance were structured as a phased program across finance, planning and customer engagement functions, with business user empowerment for promotion and decision configuration highlighted as a process change. The combined Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Business Intelligence and Oracle Hyperion Planning implementation positioned NRMA to centralize financial processes and to embed real-time decisioning into customer interaction workflows.

Oracle Oracle E-Business Suite Oracle OBIA Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 NRMA implemented Oracle OBIA as an Analytics and BI platform to consume and report on transactional data originating from Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3. The deployment was anchored within existing Oracle Applications estates and focused on delivering enterprise reporting and analytic pipelines fed by EBS data. The implementation architecture included installation of Oracle OBIA alongside Oracle Data Integrator for ETL orchestration, with supporting middleware on Oracle WebLogic and FMW components. Operations documentation and environment management covered multiple Production, Test and Dev Oracle Applications environments at R12.1.3, and the stack was instrumented with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c plus the Application Management Pack for 12.1.3 for monitoring and lifecycle tasks. Database and infrastructure capabilities were configured to support the analytic workload, including RAC, ASM, CRS, RMAN backup and recovery, and use of Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery. Data movement and replication options referenced in the environment included Oracle Streams and GoldenGate, and the team applied Oracle Advanced Compression and schema replication patterns typical of data warehouse deployments. Ongoing operational governance emphasized cloning and patching processes, using Rapid Clone for Applications cloning, database cloning and refresh workflows, and application and database patch application through Opatch and Adpatch. The implementation included routine WebLogic administration, FMW stack upgrades from 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7, application of PSUs, SSL setup and renewal for R12.1.3, and day to day troubleshooting of Oracle Forms, Apache, Concurrent Manager, Administration and Database components. Oracle OBIA supported business functions for enterprise reporting and analytic use cases, integrating with custom applications and IDAM for single sign on where required. The configuration and operational model positioned NRMA to centralize ETL, reporting and analytics workloads within the Analytics and BI category while retaining standard Oracle Applications administration and lifecycle practices.
