The initial deployment focused on stabilizing month end close and accounting workflows for a 700 person professional services firm with active real estate purchase activity, aligning the application with corporate accounting and cash management needs.
Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to support core financial modules, including general ledger, month end accruals and prepaid expense schedules, and expense and cost allocation processes. The implementation work included configuration of accounting rules to perform monthly cost allocations of over $5 million across departments, and functionality to fund and manage account allocation for property purchases.
Operational coverage centered on the finance and accounting organization, with processes adjusted for month by month financial statement reviews to detect and resolve discrepancies prior to submission. The system was used to manage funding and accounting for up to 40 real estate property purchases monthly, averaging approximately $12 million in purchase activity, and to track earnest money deposits and returns.
Governance and rollout relied on internal finance resources for testing and end user training, with staff accountants participating directly in implementation testing and in training colleagues on NetSuite functionality after the switch from Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise. Detailed accrued and prepaid schedules and new allocation workflows were adopted as part of process changes, and an in depth analysis of earnest money deposits following the NetSuite implementation helped result in a 15% increase in returned funds in subsequent months.

Operationally the deployment targets recruiting and HR business functions, with hiring managers and HR operations accessing Greenhouse ATS for requisition approval, candidate review, and interview scheduling. In 2021, Orchard engaged Qualia’s Professional Services and implemented the Qualia Digital Real Estate Platform to support its Orchard Title operations in the United States, under the Real Estate Investment application category. The engagement was explicitly framed to accelerate market expansion and to create state-aware title and closing workflows for a professional services firm operating across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.
Orchard used Qualia Core, API, Marketplace and Connect as the functional foundation, configuring Qualia Core for centralized title processing and using the Qualia API to instrument state-specific rules and data exchanges. The Marketplace and Connect components were used to orchestrate external vendor services and to expose third-party capabilities within Orchard’s orchestrated workflows, while Qualia Professional Services guided configuration, testing and initial operationalization.
Operational scope focused on Orchard Title in the United States, and the platform work supported Orchard entering three new markets faster according to the case study. The implementation produced scalable, state-aware workflow templates that reduced Orchard’s number of workflows by over 60 percent, consolidating variant processes into a codified base workflow model suitable for reuse in additional states.
Governance and process changes centered on standardizing workflow models and codifying state rules into the platform, creating a repeatable rollout model for future market expansion. The Qualia Digital Real Estate Platform implementation therefore established a single, extensible operational backbone for Orchard Title, aligning platform functionality, API-driven integrations and process governance for continued growth.
