In 2018, Osf Healthcare implemented Premier ERP, an ERP Financial application, across 11 hospitals with a 12 month deployment timeline. The program was scoped to consolidate procurement and finance operations across the hospital network and to create a single source of record for supply chain and financial transactions.
The Premier ERP deployment included supply chain management and procurement capabilities, inventory management, accounts payable, and core financial accounting such as general ledger configuration and financial reporting workflows. Configuration prioritized standardization of item master data, supplier catalogs, purchase order lifecycles, and invoicing automation consistent with ERP Financial best practices.
Deployment architecture was executed as a centralized ERP instance serving the hospital network, enabling shared services handling of purchasing and finance functions across sites. Operational coverage explicitly included supply chain and finance departments across the 11 hospitals, supporting transactional workflows from requisition through payment.
Governance and rollout emphasized rapid adoption and process alignment, with program controls to enforce standardized procurement policies and change management during the 12 month rollout. Outcomes included $34 million in supply chain savings realized within two years following the Premier ERP implementation.

| STARLIMS | Legacy | Starlims Abbott eScreen | BackGround Screening | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 Osf HealthCare implemented Starlims Abbott eScreen as a ministry-wide BackGround Screening application to support occupational health operations across new clinic openings and existing sites. The deployment targeted the Sheridan satellite in north Peoria, the Alton occupational health launch, and occupational health services at Liberty Steel, aligning background screening with pre-employment and clinic workflows.
Starlims Abbott eScreen was configured to support electronic chain of custody and eCup specimen handling, expanded fingerprinting services, drug screen ordering and specimen tracking, and automated result reporting. Configuration work included building reporting feeds used by HR to proactively schedule Mission Partner pre-employment exams, and incorporation of online training modules for pre-employment exams along with a restructured drug screen training program to standardize procedures and shorten onboarding timelines.
Operational coordination accompanied the Agility EMR rollout at Liberty Steel to transition from paper charts and provide reporting capability for OSF and the client, while the eScreen deployment extended across occupational health clinics, PromptCare agreements, and HR scheduling processes. The implementation emphasized throughput improvements, scheduling automation, and consistent lab fee practices to enable agility in pricing and service delivery.
Governance was formalized through vice president oversight, a ministry-wide lab fee schedule, and structured change management including team conferences, bi-weekly meetings, and a centralized web portal for resources. Outcomes documented in operational notes after implementing Starlims Abbott eScreen and the associated process changes include increased fingerprinting revenue, cost avoidance and improved patient experience by reducing visit stops, and an increase of over 23K visits and $28K in revenue against budget.

| Epic Systems | Legacy | Epic ASAP | Clinical Trial Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Osf Healthcare implemented Epic ASAP. Epic ASAP, classified in Clinical Trial Management, was deployed to standardize emergency department clinical workflows across multiple sites.
Implementation activity included co-leading two full cycle Epic ASAP implementations for four emergency departments by an Application System Analyst, followed by upgrade projects that executed a double upgrade from Epic 2014 to 2017 and a normal upgrade from 2017 to 2018 for more than a dozen emergency departments. The full scope covered NOVA note review, stakeholder outreach, build, test, validation, and go-live support, with configuration work focused on ED triage, tracking, clinical documentation, and encounter timeline orchestration.
Integrations and enhancements implemented alongside Epic ASAP included the Illinois Prescription Monitoring Program integration to the EHR, Code Narrator, ED XR discrepancy process improvements, and After Visit Summary related workflows. Operational coverage emphasized emergency department business functions including documentation, encounter throughput, discharge AVS, and performance reporting across system EDs including sites in the Peoria area, with Application System Analysts serving as active ASAP resources on ED Advisory and the System Pulse Performance team.
Governance practices established during rollout used structured stakeholder engagement, cross-functional testing cycles, and go-live support with mentorship for junior analysts to sustain ASAP build standards. Project outcomes reported a roughly 50 percent reduction in ASAP-related workflow exceptions and a 30 percent improvement in Emergency Department Gold Star standing following targeted configuration and process changes.
