| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft ERP | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011 OU Health implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP to establish a centralized financial management platform for the health system. The deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities and was positioned to support OU Health finance and shared services across its 11,000 employee footprint in the United States.
The implementation centered on Oracle PeopleSoft ERP modules consistent with PeopleSoft Financials functionality, including general ledger configuration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement controls, fixed asset accounting, and financial reporting workflows. Configuration work emphasized a unified chart of accounts, period close orchestration, and approval routing for financial transactions to enforce internal controls and standardize accounting processes.
Integrations were implemented with the broader administrative toolset cited by OU Health, including Microsoft Office for spreadsheets and reporting extracts, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams for document collaboration and change control, Concur for expense and travel feeds, Tableau Reader for report distribution, and Laserfiche for document imaging and records management. These integrations connected Oracle PeopleSoft ERP transactional data to expense management, document repositories, and reporting layers to support end to end financial processes.
Governance was structured around centralized finance process ownership, role based access and approval workflows within PeopleSoft Financials, and coordinated change control across IT and finance teams. Training and operational alignment focused on embedding finance users into the new ERP Financial processes and on managing document retention and reporting standards through the integrated content and analytics stack.
