In 2019, Pandora Jewelry implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial solution and migrated from Microsoft Dynamics AX to unify core finance and operational processes. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations deployment was rolled out across Pandora’s manufacturing and retail operations, covering core finance, procurement, supply chain planning, logistics and warehousing, and point of sale, with an operational user population of 22,700 across Denmark, UK, Thailand, Hong Kong, China and the USA.
The implementation delivered discrete workstreams for Finance, Logistics and Warehousing, Procurement, and Production and Supply Chain Management, with role based training curricula and trainer packs produced to support super users. Onboard designed and produced the end user courses, reference materials and trainer packs, and six Onboard consultants conducted an intensive two week knowledge transfer at Pandora’s Gemopolis facility in Bangkok to capture specialized jewellery manufacturing processes and translate materials into Thai.
Operational rollout combined centralized consultancy design with decentralized delivery, Pandora super users delivered most classroom sessions while Onboard consultants co presented sessions for production managers and team leaders. Training was staged by site and workstream, initial go live covered manufacturing at a Chiang Mai facility delivered in Thai, subsequent finance and procurement workshops were delivered in Hong Kong and Bangkok, and Onboard continued to provide training support for rollouts in China and the USA.
Governance relied on a role based training plan and super user orchestration, with Onboard adapting documentation as business processes evolved and providing refresher training when go live dates shifted. The Onboard training partnership is credited with enabling the Dynamics 365 ERP project to go live on schedule and delivered training materials that Pandora characterized as clear and highly usable.

In 2019 Pandora Jewelry deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail POS as part of a broader Microsoft Dynamics ERP roll-out across its manufacturing and retail operations. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail POS implementation targeted the Point Of Sale function within stores and was coordinated with core finance, procurement, production and supply chain, logistics and warehousing workstreams as part of a unified Microsoft Dynamics ERP deployment.
The project implemented functional capabilities across finance, procurement, production and supply chain management, logistics and warehousing, and master data management, with the retail point of sale layer provided by Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail POS. Training and role-based configuration covered production managers, team leaders, finance teams and procurement staff, and documentation was produced as trainer packs and user guides to support a super user led training model.
Operational coverage included Denmark, the UK, Thailand, Hong Kong, China and the USA, and the deployment supported an employee population of 22,700 end users. Onboard consultants conducted a two week knowledge transfer at Pandora’s Gemopolis facility in Bangkok, produced role-based training plans, and co-presented sessions in Thailand where training was delivered in Thai while system language remained English.
Governance followed a partnership model in which Pandora’s super users delivered most end user training with Onboard providing course design, materials and in-region delivery support. The Onboard training partnership enabled this Dynamics 365 ERP project to go-live on schedule, and project stakeholders reported satisfaction with the clarity and usability of the training materials, summarized by Mikkel Lysgaard, Manufacturing ERP Project Manager, who said "Onboard was really good at establishing our needs, checking all the technical documents and then transforming all that information into easily understandable, very usable training guides."

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Viva Engage | Collaboration | Collaboration | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Pandora Jewelry deployed Microsoft Viva Engage to extend Collaboration capabilities across its global retail and operations footprint. The Microsoft Viva Engage implementation was positioned as an enterprise social and employee engagement layer to unify communications, knowledge sharing, and community-driven collaboration across Pandora’s existing Microsoft cloud estate.
The Microsoft Viva Engage rollout emphasized community networks, knowledge management, and mobile-first collaboration features consistent with Collaboration platforms. Configuration work focused on embedding Viva Engage feeds and communities into the corporate intranet and onboarding experiences, enabling employees and field teams to surface best practices, product content, and visual merchandising guidance through structured communities and curated content channels.
Viva Engage was integrated with Pandora’s broader Microsoft environment, leveraging Office 365 productivity services, SharePoint Online for intranet content, OneDrive for Business for document collaboration, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online for sales and account context, and Azure-hosted portal instances for partner self-service. Operational coverage included field teams, retail operations, marketing, customer service, and franchisee and wholesaler engagement across Pandora’s global points of sale.
Governance and process changes accompanied the deployment, with central intranet consolidation, content governance for product photography and specification assets, and alignment of community workflows to existing CRM-based account and onboarding processes. The implementation supported standardized communications and accelerated onboarding, using community-driven knowledge transfer to reduce reliance on ad hoc requests to support teams.
Pandora’s broader Microsoft cloud investments had already produced explicit benefits that Viva Engage was intended to amplify, including a significant drop in support costs through self-service portals, the earning of the large majority of wholesale orders via Azure-based portal instances, and the elimination of five to ten weeks of manual effort per year for limited-release allocation through OneDrive and CRM automation. Microsoft Viva Engage was positioned to knit those operational gains into a cohesive Collaboration layer to improve internal connectivity and information flow.
