Mapping inbound fax numbers to queues enabled workload sharing across a single order entry team and reduced time spent locating paper orders. Governance and rollout followed a phased approach to deliver incremental value, instrumenting electronic queues and approval workflows to support the shared services model and improve throughput. Outcomes reported by Pentair included fewer help desk requests related to faxing, faster delivery of purchase orders to vendors, document images available in SAP up to 24 hours sooner, elimination of at least two hours of daily scanning, reduced invoice processing time, and no need to add headcount for document processing. The Esker Accounts Payable deployment reduced operational burdens associated with fax infrastructure and increased visibility across AP and order processing without introducing new telecom management overhead.
