In 2018, Petrosea implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial solution, executing a structured program to deliver core finance capabilities. The deployment was led with a named Business Process Owner who coordinated planning, designing, building, testing, implementation and post go live support, and the engagement explicitly targeted the financial function rather than peripheral business applications.
The implementation focused on Financial Accounting and Controlling capabilities, treasury and cash management, accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows, and statutory reporting that align with corporate accounting policies. The project incorporated SAP ERP ECC 6.0 Enhancement Package 6 EHP 6 as the application baseline, and configuration work emphasized controls, financial close orchestration and cash flow management to support working capital needs.
Operational coverage centered on Petrosea’s finance organization and statutory reporting across its Indonesian operations, with executive finance leadership in the Greater Jakarta area driving requirements and adoption. The rollout encompassed business line accounting, treasury operations and statutory reporting processes, and included post go live support to stabilize transactional processing and month end close activities.
Governance and process change were formalized through finance ownership and the CFO office, which used the SAP program to enforce stronger internal controls and to reposition finance as a business driver. The SAP deployment was coordinated alongside a New PSAK IFRS convergence project, with changes to accounting policies and procedures incorporated into the ERP configuration and reporting templates.
Outcomes recorded during and after the program include completion of the SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 6 implementation, reduced days sales outstanding through receivables discipline, negotiated vendor net terms and utilization of investment instruments to optimize a US$ 30 Million working capital facility. The finance transformation and related accounting changes supported a five year clean audit by Deloitte and aided compliance and tax planning to secure refunds and manage a Large Tax Office audit.

In 2018, Petrosea deployed SAP CMMS as a core element of its wider digital asset program across the asset life cycle. The SAP CMMS implementation was positioned to support Asset Management and Maintenance operations under the Computerized Maintenance Management (CMMS) category and to centralize maintenance execution and planning data.
The implementation focused on SAP PM capabilities including equipment and functional location master data, notification and work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, and materials planning for spare parts. Project artifacts and named initiatives included LCC Master SAP KBL Implementation, ARMS Asset Resource Management System integration, SAP PDMS/PAI Predictive Asset Insight integration, Oil Top Up workflows, and an E-ARF new design, indicating combined work order, resource and predictive condition monitoring workflows were provisioned in the environment.
Operational ownership and rollout were governed by Petrosea s digital asset team with a Senior Engineer leading a cross functional team to complete ERP and non ERP projects related to CMMS and EAM SAP PM. The team documented and tracked issues cases and requests from asset management end users, investigated and troubleshot incorrect information produced by CMMS EAM SAP PM, and produced remediation proposals while delivering a CMMS SAP PM training program for asset management personnel and end users, notably within the Petrosea Minerva Digitalization project.
Governance emphasized issue lifecycle management and user enablement, with configuration and process workstreams aligned to asset lifecycle stages and maintenance planning. Integrations with ARMS and SAP PDMS PAI were used to bring resource management and predictive insight into SAP CMMS workflows, enabling a unified operational view for Asset Management and Maintenance functions.
