Workday Legacy Workday HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2015 2018
In 2015, Philips Lighting implemented Workday HCM to centralize Core HR transactional processing and payroll administration for its Indonesia operations. The Workday HCM deployment targeted employee lifecycle management and payroll workflow orchestration, positioning Workday HCM as the system of record for hires, terminations, promotions and demotions. Workday HCM was configured to support HRIS transactional tasks and payroll-specific administration, including compensation updates, remuneration adjustments, retention and sign on bonuses, and routine payroll data validation. The implementation explicitly covered payroll process activities such as reconciliation of new hire and termination records, check of compensation updates, and maintenance of the employee database to ensure accuracy within HRIS and Workday HCM. Operational coverage extended to coordination between the Indonesia payroll and compensation and benefits team and the Asia Pacific Singapore team to support regional compensation and benefit workflows. The program also included management of statutory and third party payments, for example insurance and BPJS Kes and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions, cooperative deductions, and related payment processing, plus administration of expatriate documentation including IMTA, KITAS and DPKK processing support. Governance and ongoing operations emphasized periodic data consolidation, analysis and reporting to support payroll runs, manpower updates for new hire, promotion and termination events, and exit clearance procedures. The HR group maintained transactional ownership for creating HR purchase orders, producing employee letters and visa support documents, coordinating company events, and acting as PIC for outsourced employees including contract maintenance, payroll data updates, medical and overtime administration, all mediated through Workday HCM.

SAP Legacy SAP Business Planning and Consolidation EPM EPM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Philips Lighting implemented SAP Business Planning and Consolidation as its EPM platform to support corporate financial planning and analysis, with the Amsterdam FP&A organization operating the environment from May 2017 onward. The SAP Business Planning and Consolidation deployment was oriented to planning, consolidation and reporting workflows used across monthly and quarterly closing, rolling forecasting and the annual operating plan cycle. The implementation configured functional capabilities for consolidated market actuals and forecasting input capture, financial performance reporting, and scenario modelling. The team constructed an intangible fixed asset valuation model for the America and Canada business unit to support impairment assessment, supported cash flow and working capital modeling and analysis using data processed in the BPC system, and optimized an ROIC model while simplifying the closing process. Operational integration relied on SAP transactional data feeding the BPC planning and consolidation layer, enabling consolidated inputs from multiple markets and supporting strategic plan and company long term valuation modelling. The solution supported FP&A, treasury-level cash flow analysis, and the investment relationship department by delivering consolidated financial performance data and structured forecasting inputs. Governance centered on standardized closing and rolling forecast workflows within SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, with valuation and impairment modelling embedded into the monthly close and forecasting cadence. Outcomes explicitly documented include simplified closing process and increased reporting accuracy, plus direct support for external valuers through structured financial data and analysis.
