Quebecor processed payroll exceptions stemming from missed timecard hours, severance payments, retroactive salary changes, and vacation hour adjustments, executing payments via ADP or issuing live checks as required. Ongoing timecard audits were implemented to detect blank or incomplete timecards and missing approvals, embedding timekeeping controls into daily HR operations across Quebecor’s Canadian operations. Governance and workflow design established escalation paths from local HR to Shared Services and ADP for exception handling, and maintained an audit cadence for timecard and payslip validation. The program documented successful outcomes that included one-call resolution for HR mailbox inquiries and sustained timecard audit activity to reduce incomplete submissions.
