In 2017 Repower initiated SAP S/4 HANA adoption to address ERP Financial functions, linking the project to a planned migration from its existing SAP ERP ECC 6.0 environment. The effort was driven from the Landquart FI-CO team and positioned SAP S/4 HANA as the target application for core accounting and controlling workflows across Swiss departments and affiliated Italian companies.
The implementation scope emphasized SAP FI, CO, TR, PS, and CO-PC modules, with hands-on configuration and custom development work. The team executed master data hardening for business partner creation, inserted custom user-exits, and developed ABAP programs to resolve day-to-day accounting, controlling, treasury, project system, and product costing tickets while preparing processes for SAP S/4 HANA compatibility.
Integrations and interfacing work focused on payments and invoice workflows, including new SEPA, RID payments, and SWIFT payment interfaces, and support for the MAPPETTA vendor invoice approval workflow. These integrations were addressed within the FI and TR functional scope and coordinated with Corporate Accounting and local business units to ensure end-to-end payment and accounts payable processing remained aligned during the ECC to SAP S/4 HANA transition.
Operational governance relied on an embedded FI-CO team model, ticket-driven issue resolution, and internal project participation to introduce process changes such as altered BP checks during master data creation and vendor invoice approval routing. The program included targeted training and customizing work to prepare business users and technical teams for data migration and cutover to SAP S/4 HANA, with the FI-CO team maintaining operational support while enabling the migration path.

In 2022, Repower implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service to support its PLUG’N ROLL e-mobility operations and to formalize planning for widespread charging station maintenance. The Field Service Management deployment targets service planning and dispatch as PLUG’N ROLL scaled from a few regional chargers to a nationwide network of thousands of charging stations across Switzerland.
The implementation leverages Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service capabilities aligned to scheduling and resource dispatch, work order orchestration, asset-aware service planning, and mobile technician enablement to replace prior spreadsheet-based planning. Configuration emphasized cloud-based orchestration and rapid provisioning of service workflows to support external service teams and multi-site field operations.
Dynamics 365 Field Service was integrated into Repower’s existing Dynamics 365 platform, connecting with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance for billing orchestration and with Dynamics 365 Sales to convert contracts and orders into service work. The solution also supports the customer-facing portal used to grant fleet managers access to charging event data and to route invoices to the appropriate parties, enabling end-to-end linkage from charging telemetry to invoicing.
Governance and process changes focused on shifting service planning out of Microsoft Excel into a controlled Field Service application, instituting guided scheduling, and formalizing handoffs to external technicians. Repower cited accelerated time to value and savings in time and costs as explicit outcomes, while the platform approach preserved flexibility for future extensions across billing, sales, and operational processes.
