| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, Roche Diagnostics USA implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as part of its ERP Financial application footprint, initiating a program of module integration and production support that ran through March 2013 to October 2015 in Indianapolis, IN. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment was positioned to support core procurement and manufacturing workflows alongside financial processing, linking transactional and master data domains across the enterprise.
The implementation focused on SAP MM, SRM and PP functional capabilities, with SRM 7.0 and Ariba used for supplier catalog activation and indirect procurement scenarios. Configuration work included purchase order processing, purchase requisitions, info records, release procedures, pricing conditions, partner schema assignment to account groups, MRP procedures and forecast parameter setup, inventory management for goods receipts, goods issues, reservations, GR for blocked stock, goods returns and interplant and storage location stock transfers. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 in the ERP Financial role supported purchasing, production planning, inventory management and financial posting workflows.
Integrations were executed with external partners and middleware technologies, including OpenText, GXS and Ariba for supplier interfacing, and Coupa for customer facing purchase and expense interfaces, enabling Supplier Network Collaboration for indirect procurement. The environment included ECM engineering change management and master data management, and delivered integration testing touchpoints with PP, SD and FI/CO teams to validate end-to-end supply chain and finance flows.
Governance and rollout activities included stakeholder workshops across supply chain, IT, manufacturing, engineering and finance, structured requirements and design sessions, and end user training with demonstrations of MM transactions and business scenarios. Operational governance addressed partner schema definitions, release procedures and ongoing design work to support upgrades and new report development.
Post implementation responsibilities covered implementation and production support, regular break fixes and enhancements to purchasing and production planning processes, and coordination with external interface partners. Testing and ALM tooling used on the engagement included HP ALM, HPSM and HP QTP, with Live Link and SharePoint used for documentation and collaboration.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2019 |
In 2018, Roche Diagnostics USA implemented Workday Absence Management to standardize absence policies and time off workflows across its HR processes. The deployment established a centralized Absence and Leave Management capability supporting absence plans and leave administration for the organization.
Workday Absence Management was configured to handle standard functional modules including absence plan configuration, accrual and eligibility rules, time off requests and approvals, balance calculations, and leave of absence case tracking. The configuration included reporting and auditability for compliance and HR operational reporting within the absence management domain.
The absence capability was aligned with the broader Workday estate, operating alongside Workday Time and Payroll modules to ensure consistency between timekeeping, absence records, and payroll calculations. Operational users included HR administrators, payroll teams, and timekeepers within Roche Diagnostics USA, with data flows designed to reduce manual reconciliation between leave and pay processes.
Governance for the ongoing product roadmap and continuous improvement was assigned to a Global Product Owner for Workday Pay, Time, Absence & Benefits beginning in 2021, who defines launch and iterative enhancement priorities using an agile methodology. This governance model centralizes decision making for Payroll, Time, Absence, and Benefits features, and manages delivery expectations while synthesizing business customer requirements.
