| ACSIS | Legacy | ACSIS Track and Trace | Real-Time Transportation Visibility | SCM | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Roosevelt Paper implemented ACSIS Track and Trace to automate internal supply chain workflows and reduce reliance on paper-based processes. The deployment focused on Real-Time Transportation Visibility capabilities to strengthen receiving, shop-floor operations, genealogy tracking, and shipping functions.
Acsis and Roosevelt Paper executed a multi-phase project that defined modular functionality within ACSIS Track and Trace, including EDI-based Advanced Shipment Notice ingestion, barcode labeling and scan-based receiving, role-specific task list orchestration for shop-floor workers, and order genealogy construction to trace raw material composition. The ACSIS Track and Trace implementation used barcode scanning to match mill-supplied Advanced Shipment Notices to physical rolls, delivering automated inbound matching and inventory capture.
Integrations explicitly included EDI links with supplying mills to deliver ASN data and barcode identifiers, and scanning hardware workflows at receiving and shipping gates. Operational coverage extended across receiving, manufacturing shop floor, quality control for genealogy checks, and shipping departments, enabling coordinated handoffs from inbound to production to outbound under a unified visibility layer.
Governance changes centralized task assignment and inspection workflows, with role-specific task lists providing each worker a customized daily view and introducing checks and balances to ensure orders meet customer specifications and required inspections are completed. Acsis and Roosevelt collaborated on phased rollout planning to align process transformation with plant operations and to phase in shipping automation in the final stage.
Explicit outcomes recorded in the deployment include improved timeliness and accuracy of shipments, elimination of shipping errors, and faster traceability to assess and mitigate quality problems through detailed genealogy. The project also produced a sustained vendor relationship with Acsis that Roosevelt Paper cited as a trusted partner for ongoing system support.
