| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2020 |
In 2019, RSL LifeCare implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the core ERP Financial platform within a multi-million-dollar program that also included Dynamics 365 CRM and a separate human resources solution. The initiative positioned Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations to centralize core financial management and to serve finance, procurement and ledger oriented business functions across the organization.
The implementation focused on configuring finance modules typical of an ERP Financial deployment, including general ledger control, accounts payable and receivable workflows, procurement-related transactions and fixed asset tracking. The team applied automation and data synchronization patterns, including custom python scripts for cross-application data sync, to ensure transactional coherence between Dynamics 365 for Finance and other enterprise applications.
Identity and security were integral to the architecture, with Azure AD single sign-on introduced and applications migrated from ADFS to Azure AD for unified authentication. Controls implemented included Azure AD privilege identity management for just in time access, multi factor authentication and password reset strategy, managed vendor access to the RSL domain and ongoing monthly audits of implementation partner access. The program also addressed application hardening across SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and OneDrive as part of the wider integration surface.
Governance and operationalization included documented ad hoc scripts and application inventories, a formal user access review process with yearly reviews, data labelling and retention policies applied to CRM, Finance and electronic document management systems, and external penetration testing before go live. The Business System Specialist role led cross functional integration work, managed partner access and remediation of security findings, embedding operational controls to support Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the organizationwide ERP Financial backbone.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2021 | 2022 |
In 2021, RSL LifeCare implemented Workday HCM to centralize Core HR capabilities across its Australian operations supporting approximately 3,800 employees. The implementation focused on establishing a single HRIS instance for employee records, position and business structure maintenance, and role-based approvals to support HR, payroll interfacing, and manager and employee self-service.
Workday HCM was configured to manage core modules including employee data and classification, pay rules and allowances, award interpreter logic aligned to enterprise agreements, and access and approval controls. The program included configuration of new data and pay rules, periodic data validation processes, UAT testing for refreshes and upgrades, and the creation and maintenance of training materials and job aids for managers, HR business partners, payroll specialists and front-line staff.
The deployment interoperates with existing payroll and workforce tools explicitly referenced by RSL LifeCare, including iChris for payroll exports, ongoing integration projects with Alayacare and UKG Dimensions, and incident ticketing through Freshservice for ITSM. Operational coverage included liaison with IT for facility hardware such as time clocks and mobile applications, and super user training across ACT and NSW to support day to day operations and payroll readiness.
Governance was implemented through establishment of access and approval controls based on functional roles, maintenance of business structure within the system, and processes to keep award interpreter rules in alignment with HR policies and procedures. RSL LifeCare also embedded testing and upgrade routines and provided UAT support to minimize operational disruption while training internal stakeholders to sustain Core HR operations in Workday HCM.
