In 2010 RTL Group Ltd. implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the core ERP Financial system to consolidate and standardize finance processes supporting the FremantleMedia Group within the RTL organization. Operational integrations were a central element, with SAP interfacing into existing sales and royalty management systems to automate sales and royalty processes for the IP division, and linking with in-house royalties systems and the international SAP platform. The scope covered finance teams, rights management functions, and the IP division, establishing end to end process connectivity between rights administration and ERP financial posting.
Governance was programmatic, with a large re-engineering initiative to redevelop and integrate processes while the underlying technology stack was modernised, and hands on oversight from finance and operations leadership.
