In common SaaS scenarios Clarity Connect is installed alongside cloud-hosted storefronts and communicates across a secured Internet connection, while for on-premises ERP installations Clarity Connect is deployed inside the corporate network and configured with IP exceptions, specific ports and public/private key combinations so the on-prem connector can securely communicate with cloud adapters. Governance centered on business logic encapsulated as events, triggers and rules that route sales orders to staff for review, update inventory in near real time and surface shipping options to customers. Security and performance criteria were explicitly considered when designing endpoint access and data flows, and the integrated solution aimed to reduce manual intervention, improve customer self-service and accelerate order processing by making Sage Business Cloud X3 the transactional source of truth for ERP Financial and fulfillment operations.
