This billing implementation was delivered as part of a multi-product Guidewire architecture that explicitly included Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire Rating Management, Guidewire Reinsurance Management, and Guidewire Client Data Management, with later selection of Guidewire ClaimCenter, Guidewire DataHub, and Guidewire InfoCenter to extend claims handling and enterprise data intelligence.
Operational scope covered Santam’s South Africa and international operations, supporting distribution through more than 3,600 intermediaries and direct channels, and impacted underwriting, broker sales and servicing, product management, and customer engagement workflows. The technical rollout involved collaboration with Guidewire Software, Cognizant, and Nihilent Technologies to implement an integrated billing and customer data stack, enabling unified broker interfaces and standardized billing processes across channels.
Governance and process rationalization accompanied the rollout, simplifying and rationalizing core processes to provide a platform for faster product changes and improved digital interaction with disparate customers.
