In 2019, Savings Banks Group implemented Temenos T24, deploying Temenos Transact together with Temenos Payments Hub to establish a shared Core Banking platform. The program was executed as part of a multi-bank initiative that included Oma Savings Bank Plc and POP Bank Group, with implementation and ongoing management assigned to Cognizant through its acquisition of Oy Samlink Ab.
The Temenos T24 deployment centered on core account processing and a unified customer data model provided by Temenos Transact, combined with Temenos Payments Hub for centralized payment orchestration. Configuration work focused on core banking product configuration, transaction processing workflows, and business rule orchestration to support retail deposit servicing and lending operations at the platform layer.
Integrations were organized around the payments stack and bank-to-bank sharing constructs, with Temenos Payments Hub serving as the payment processing and clearing backbone for the shared platform. The implementation tied the Temenos T24 core to digital channel endpoints and downstream back-office processes to enable a consolidated execution layer across participating banks.
Governance and operations were structured as a centralized managed service, Cognizant operating the shared digital core on behalf of the Savings Banks Group and partner banks via Samlink. This arrangement created a single operational ownership model for platform updates, release management, and cross-bank change control while maintaining bank-level configuration and product governance.
The deployment of Temenos T24 and Temenos Payments Hub was positioned to underpin the participating banks digital transformation objectives and to provide a common Core Banking foundation for standardized operations and future functional expansion.
