| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Scapa Group, a Mativ Company implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial backbone to support a global Life Sciences manufacturing footprint with production sites in Asia, Europe and the US. The implementation established a centralized financial platform to support multi-company, multi-currency accounting, and to provide a single source of truth for statutory reporting across its Healthcare and Industrial business units.
SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured with core financial and controlling capabilities aligned to the ERP Financial category, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting and cost center controlling. Configuration emphasis reflected typical ERP Financial workflows, such as period end close orchestration, intercompany accounting and consolidated financial reporting, to support Scapa’s growth and acquisition activity.
Following the initial on-premise SAP landscape, Scapa reviewed Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service options and selected an IaaS approach on Microsoft Azure, with itelligence providing structured guidance on timing, sequencing and logistics. The migration to a managed cloud environment moved development, test and live environments during a project running from January to May 2018, and the target architecture now includes a fully provisioned secondary environment that replicates the complete SAP landscape with interfaces, printers, labelling and access points fully tested.
Operational governance was reorganized to run an internal SAP support function augmented by itelligence SAP Support, forming a single support team where key itelligence consultants operate as both support engineers and functional analysts. The support interface with the itelligence Service Desk is now central to issue resolution, and new disaster recovery and business continuity procedures were implemented to simplify failover and communication between primary and secondary sites.
Outcomes explicitly reported include delivery of the migration on time and to budget, a safe and secure managed SAP environment, a comprehensive disaster recovery plan with failover achievable in minutes, and circa £0.5m in like for like savings driven by reduced energy costs and simplified IT infrastructure administration. The managed cloud foundation positions Scapa Group to review SAP S/4HANA alignment and follow the SAP roadmap for future innovation.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Production Planning (PP) | Advanced Planning and Scheduling | SCM | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Scapa Group, a Mativ Company implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Production Planning (PP) to support Advanced Planning and Scheduling across its manufacturing footprint. The deployment is anchored on a typical manufacturing site architecture running SAP EhP7 with core modules SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, QM, and WM active alongside extensive technical enhancements and user exits.
SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Production Planning (PP) was configured to deliver production planning and shop floor control capabilities common to the Advanced Planning and Scheduling category, including planned orders, production order processing, and integration with material requirements planning. The implementation included custom outputs and enhancements to adapt standard PP workflows to site-specific manufacturing and quality inspection processes.
Integration work is a notable signal in the implementation, with numerous BAPI functions developed for the SAP MII system and interfaces built into the company intranet and external portals. Warehouse mobility was addressed through RF gun programming tied to WM, and extensive interface work connected transactional modules SD, MM, and FI/CO to downstream systems.
Governance and operational ownership were implemented through ongoing technical stewardship, evidenced by long-term SAP technical development support at the Manchester site. Change control relied on frequent enhancements and user exits to extend SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Production Planning (PP) functionality, while outputs and interface management were used to maintain operational continuity across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance functions.
