| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2012 | 2013 |
In 2012, SCHOTT implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as part of a coordinated SAP platform initiative. The deployment targeted core ERP Financial capabilities and was planned alongside a company-wide SAP CRM rollout that required seamless integration with SAP ERP and SAP BW.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation concentrated on standard ERP Financial modules, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset accounting, and controlling, configured to support statutory reporting and financial close workflows. Workstreams emphasized master data consolidation and chart of accounts alignment to ensure financial transactions and postings from commercial processes reconciled with corporate finance records.
Integration engineering was explicit, Syskoplan Reply consultants collaborated with SCHOTT’s central market development specialist department to develop an adaptable approach that linked SAP CRM, SAP ERP ECC 6.0, and SAP BW. The SAP CRM rollout included a pilot in one business unit that introduced gamification-style motivation mechanisms to improve sales process data capture, with those sales updates flowing into ERP financial records and into SAP BW for reporting and analytics.
Governance was organized around a cross-functional model that combined central market development, external consultants, and business unit stakeholders, enabling a phased pilot then broader rollout. Configuration and process changes emphasized user engagement and data quality controls to strengthen the sales to finance transaction lifecycle.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, SCHOTT implemented SAP HCM (HR) as a Core HR platform to centralize personnel processes for its global manufacturing workforce. The deployment targeted the company Human Resources organization, supporting employee lifecycle functions across SCHOTT's 17,392 employees and operations in 33 countries, with active usage at sites such as Landshut.
The implementation configured SAP HCM (HR) for standard Core HR capabilities, including personnel administration, organizational management, time management, and compensation master data. Configuration work focused on centralized HR master data, position and organizational management, and role-based access controls to support recruitment, onboarding, and personnel record workflows.
Operational coverage included HR teams responsible for personnel marketing, health management initiatives, and employee support, reflecting local HR activities at Landshut alongside centralized HR governance. The system served as the primary HR record to manage cross-border personnel administration and provided practical SAP HR exposure for interns and HR staff working on intercultural and compensation topics.
Governance emphasized standardized HR processes, centralized master data controls, and alignment between central HR and local site HR to address international personnel issues. Training and change management were structured to embed SAP HCM (HR) into routine HR service delivery across sites, with SCHOTT Human Resources owning ongoing operational stewardship.

| F24 | Legacy | F24 CIM | Emergency Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 SCHOTT implemented F24 CIM in the Emergency Management category to provide centralized, SaaS‑hosted incident alerting and crisis coordination across its manufacturing operations. The initiative addressed extreme sensitivity of continuous production, where millisecond disruptions can permanently damage systems, and aimed to alert up to 250 people rapidly while giving command visibility into responder status and availability.
The deployment of F24 CIM emphasized core emergency management capabilities including mass alerting with acknowledgement workflows, configurable information cascades, targeted follow up alerts, and secure virtual communication rooms. The implementation used mobile app triggers and the TrustCase Business Messenger to enable on the go escalation, to maintain lean crisis communications, and to capture responder states such as en route, on site, or unavailable.
Architecturally the solution was consumed as a Software as a Service offering with application hosting and data storage in Germany, providing GDPR aligned handling of personal contact data and a contractual availability commitment reported as 99.99 percent. Operational coverage included site security and emergency management at the Mainz facility and expansion into Group crisis management for roughly 40 production sites in over 30 countries, while specific user groups such as approximately 100 service technicians and broader site cohorts of up to 2,800 employees and 2,000 tenants and contractors were modeled as alerting cohorts. Planned integration work described with the vendor included connecting the company control centre and fire brigade incident room via digital radio and linking individual site fire alarm systems to the F24 CIM workflow.
Governance and process changes centered on centralizing alert templates, role based notification groups, and acknowledgement driven status reporting to speed impact assessment and protective actions. Explicitly stated outcomes include maintained availability during IT failure scenarios due to SaaS hosting, data residency in Germany for compliance, and vendor support that SCHOTT reported as responsive and collaborative. F24 CIM is documented as the operational tool used for both site level emergencies and rapid assembly of cross site crisis teams.
