Operational coverage focused on quality and production teams within SGL Carbon Germany plants, where the solution was instrumented at the machine and production line level to ensure timely capture of production events and inspection results. Integrations were implemented at the device and shop floor data layer to bring machine signals into the Manufacturing Execution System for traceability and operational visibility. Governance centered on centralized test plan templates, standardized inspection workflows, and role based process controls to reduce manual inspection effort and strengthen in-process quality governance. The configuration and rollout emphasized standardization of test plans and operational enforcement through the GFOS Smart Manufacturing Manufacturing Execution System, resulting in reduced inspection effort and stronger in-process quality controls as stated by GFOS references.
