In 2005 Shoprite implemented IBM AS/400 as an ERP Financial application. The IBM AS/400 served as the primary transactional and financial system for the store, centralizing deposit recording, pricing maintenance, and inventory transaction records.
Operationally the implementation captured cash, check, and credit and debit card deposits through routine data entry workflows, and supported bank deposit posting and reconciliation processes. Store personnel entered deposits and performed reconciliations in IBM AS/400, activities that directly supported accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows.
The system also handled store inventory coordination by entering and placing store supply and orders, and it was used to update product pricing using AS 400 interfaces. Functionally this covered inventory management, pricing maintenance, cash management, and financial posting capabilities aligned with ERP Financial system behavior.
Deployment scope was centered on store operations and finance staff, with governance built around structured data entry, deposit posting, pricing update procedures, and reconciliation routines. Notes from the implementation indicate bank deposits and reconciliations performed in IBM AS/400 helped accounts receivable and accounts payable consistency and auditability.

In 2014, Shoprite implemented Cadient Talent ATS, deploying the Applicant Tracking System as the external candidate portal on its corporate careers site. The Cadient Talent ATS instance is surfaced via a public career site URL and handles applicant intake and online application submission directly from the website, providing the primary interface for external candidates. The deployment reflects a web‑hosted application pattern with the Cadient Talent ATS front end supporting job posting publication and candidate self-service for Shoprite's United States operations.
Functionally the Cadient Talent ATS implementation covers standard Applicant Tracking System capabilities such as requisition management, application capture, candidate workflow tracking, automated communications and recruiting reports. Configuration emphasized online application forms, resume parsing and configurable hiring workflows to align with retail store and corporate hiring needs. Governance established role based access for recruiting staff and hiring managers and aligned HR screening and approval workflows across Shoprite's hiring channels.
