Serrala Legacy Serrala FinanceSuite AP Automation ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Signify implemented Serrala FinanceSuite as an AP Automation solution. The deployment concentrated on automating cash allocation in the order to cash cycle and strengthening accounts payable orchestration within Signify’s finance organization. Serrala FinanceSuite was configured to include Serrala AutoBank for SAP for electronic bank statement processing and automated cash matching, and Serrala Payment Management for SAP for payment support and maintenance. The implementation extended SAP Standard FI modules, specifically General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, together with SAP Treasury setup and maintenance to support cash and bank operations. Integration work centered on SAP ERP connectivity using IDOC messaging, with REMADV EDI820 remittance advice inbound processing and FINSTA bank statement handling for electronic banking. The technical architecture tied Serrala FinanceSuite into SAP FI workflows to enable automated cash allocation and remittance-driven reconciliation within the order to cash process. Project governance was led by a project manager and senior consultant from Hanse Orga EMEA with responsibilities for implementation, overall project planning, change management, scope definition, resource allocation, budget monitoring, invoicing, development concept creation and testing. Support and maintenance processes for Serrala Payment Management were established, and the approach leveraged global implementation experience from prior SAP finance and treasury engagements including work at Philips Signify NL and US to create repeatable configuration and testing practices.

SAP Legacy SAP Digital Manufacturing Manufacturing Execution System ERP Services and Operations n/a 2024 2024
In 2024, Signify implemented SAP Digital Manufacturing as its Manufacturing Execution System to support manufacturing operations and production control. This deployment positions SAP Digital Manufacturing as the operational backbone for shop-floor execution within Signify’s manufacturing domain. The implementation emphasized core MES capabilities typical of the Manufacturing Execution System category, including production execution and shop floor control, quality management and nonconformance handling, traceability for serialized and batch processes, and real-time data capture for operational visibility. Configuration work focused on standard MES workflows such as work order dispatch, routing and resource assignment, operator workbenches for execution, and exception handling. Automation configuration and data capture were oriented toward integrating plant-floor devices and sensors into the SAP Digital Manufacturing application to enable event-driven production workflows. Architecturally the implementation followed a plant-centric MES pattern that connects shop-floor event streams to enterprise processes, with role-based interfaces for operators, supervisors, and planners. Governance activities centered on shop-floor process ownership, master data controls for production and material definitions, and staged operational handovers to production teams. The implementation narrative aligns Signify, SAP Digital Manufacturing, Manufacturing Execution System, and manufacturing operations into a cohesive operational capability for production control and traceability.
