Configuration focused on core Workday Financial Management modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting, paired with Workday payroll configuration as part of the full ERP Financial rollout. The implementation explicitly included integration work under the corporate systems program to onboard and align Elizabethtown and Elkton Gas acquisitions, requiring chart of accounts alignment and consolidated financial process configuration. Change management and user training were operationalized to align people, process and technology across all SJI companies.
Governance was framed around vendor management and project management oversight in the contracted role, with phased cutovers and standardization checkpoints across business units. The program team led system integrations for a large acquisition and business process improvement initiatives, coordinating deliverables across Workday, PowerPlan, and PowerTax. Integrations linked absence and time data into financial and tax systems to align payroll accounting and tax compliance workflows with absence records.
Governance was structured under a principal of the program team, organized into four project teams responsible for managing Workday, PowerPlan, and PowerTax deliverables. The principal managed cross-functional teams of 20+ practitioners to deliver the Workday HCM, Absence, Time, and Payroll modules on schedule and within program controls, while maintaining operational focus on HR and payroll process standardization.

Origin later delivered a Mobile Workforce Management system to support Elizabethtown Gas and Elkton Gas field crews, extending IBM Maximo function to mobile inspections and field work execution.
In 2019 Origin was awarded the South Jersey Gas Oracle Customer Care and Billing CC&B and IBM Maximo system upgrade, reflecting coordinated upgrades across billing and asset management stacks. The SJI ETG Maximo system received a subsequent upgrade completed in record time, indicating tightly orchestrated cutover planning and limited disruption to business and IT users.
Governance and rollout were executed as part of an ongoing Origin and SJI partnership initiated to support acquisitions and operational consolidation, aligning Maximo configuration, mobile workforce processes, and upgrade windows across SJG, ETG and ELK business units.
