In 2016, S&P Global implemented FIS GETPAID for AR Automation. The deployment targeted treasury and finance functions and focused on automating accounts receivable workflows across invoicing, collections, and cash application processes.
FIS GETPAID was configured to deliver core AR Automation capabilities including automated invoicing, cash application and collections workflow automation, and electronic remittance processing. As part of the implementation, technology enhancements were implemented to support Bank Fee Analysis and EBAM for FBAR as capabilities offered by the Treasury Workstation, FIS SunGard.
Architecture and integration work connected FIS GETPAID with the Treasury Workstation, FIS SunGard, enabling fee analysis feeds and EBAM compliance outputs to be consumed within the receivables platform. Operational ownership was aligned to finance and treasury teams, consolidating AR, cash application and FBAR compliance workflows and formalizing process handoffs between treasury and accounts receivable.

The deployment focused on Benefits Administration and brought benefits enrollment, eligibility and lifecycle workflows into Workday Benefits as the single system of record for benefits elections and policy enforcement.
Configuration work encompassed core benefits administration capabilities including enrollment event processing, eligibility rules, benefits life event workflows, and reporting to support workforce planning and analytics, implemented alongside other Workday modules referenced by the team such as talent management, payroll solutions, and time tracking. Business process automation included configurable business processes and rigorous data audit controls to preserve privacy and data integrity while enabling employee self-service for benefits transactions. The implementation also supported a virtual agent with seamless escalation to live chat to improve employee and manager access to benefits and health support.
Workday Benefits was integrated into S&P Global’s HR service delivery ecosystem, notably with Workday to ServiceNow connections and additional third party service providers, reducing duplicated efforts and centralizing people services and intranet-connected resources. Operational coverage began in North America under the Employee Services organization and contributed to broader global inventory and governance efforts led by the HR organization. The technical posture reflected a centralized Workday SaaS configuration with orchestration to external service platforms for case management and third party vendor interactions.
Governance and process changes included a People Experience Quality Assurance program and a governance model to keep global HR policies current, with operational accountability for KPIs, data security, and statutory compliance assigned to the Global Lead, People Services. Explicit outcomes cited by the program included minimized duplication of work through system integrations, centralized US severance processing for improved programmatic security, and the enabled virtual agent that expanded access to benefits support. Change management was led by Employee Services, which also drove related Talent Management and Talent Acquisition process changes alongside the benefits rollout.
