SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2006 2007
In 2006, Stanley Black & Decker implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation addressed core finance and accounting needs for the manufacturing organization, establishing a foundation for corporate financial control and procurement accounting across the company. The deployment emphasized ERP Financial functional coverage typical for the category, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Controlling modules, with configuration to support transaction processing and statutory reporting. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was provisioned to interface with enterprise databases and reporting stores, with Oracle databases explicitly used to host transactional and analytical data supporting the financial application. The technical architecture was built on enterprise on-premise infrastructure, with SAP application servers hosted on IBM pSeries AIX servers and SAN storage, leveraging HMC, VIO server virtualization, and LVM for storage administration. High availability constructs were implemented through AIX clustering and NIM based system provisioning, and the environment was instrumented for capacity planning and performance tuning to support continuous operations. Operational governance included 24x7 AIX system support, automated administration via shell and scripting languages, monitoring with tools and custom NMON analysis, and structured capacity planning and change control procedures maintained by central IT. Stanley Black & Decker integrated SAP ERP ECC 6.0 into its enterprise operations to centralize financial processes and sustain availability through established systems administration and operational workflows.

Gallup Legacy Gallup Q12 Employee Engagement HCM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Stanley Black & Decker implemented Gallup Q12 to support Employee Engagement across its security business and broader culture initiatives. The rollout targeted a global security organization of approximately 9,400 employees spanning 15 countries and was positioned to inform HR and communications programs during a period of mergers and restructuring. The implementation of Gallup Q12 emphasized standardized survey administration, manager-level reporting, and structured action planning consistent with Employee Engagement practice. Gallup Q12 was used to generate State of the Team feedback, drive manager coaching conversations, and create prioritized engagement interventions tied to diversity and inclusion training. Operational coordination linked Gallup Q12 results with internal communication channels, notably Workplace by Facebook, to accelerate leader-to-employee dialogue and real-time information sharing. The program supported onboarding workflows for approximately 300 new employees in the U.S., Canada, and China during the acquisition of 3xLOGIC, and the engagement work was aligned with external restructuring advisory from McKinsey & Company. Governance for the Gallup Q12 program included a State of the Team ambassador role, train-the-trainer delivery for unconscious bias, and employee resource group development to convert survey insights into actions. Executive communications, change messaging, and PR were centrally managed to support adoption, and the communications-led approach produced an explicit operational outcome of saving the security business $15K per quarter on town halls by shifting to digital, real-time engagement channels.
