In 2020, SunStream Business Services implemented OneStream XF as a cloud-based EPM solution to centralize financial consolidation, reporting and planning across its organization and customer bases. SunStream Business Services implemented OneStream XF to replace an aging Oracle Hyperion on-premise environment that was nearing end of service, with a focus on secure multi-entity finance operations for the company and its 13 agricultural lending institution customers.
The deployment prioritized core finance modules, going live first with financial consolidation and reporting, followed by planning capabilities. OneStream XF was configured to consolidate multiple prior instances into a single unified platform, and many spreadsheet-based reports were converted like-for-like to accelerate time to value while future work targets further spreadsheet reduction.
SunStream selected eCapital Advisors as the implementation partner for the OneStream XF rollout, and chose the vendor based on architecture and security administration strengths. The implementation covered SunStream’s internal Finance team plus 13 customer units, operating across SunStream’s multi-state service area, and included migration support for a user base with 12 years of Hyperion experience.
Governance and adoption efforts included pre-implementation and post-implementation training, along with recurring bi-weekly and weekly Q&A sessions to drive user comfort and change management. Reported operational outcomes from the OneStream XF implementation include improved administration for user provisioning, member and account maintenance, consolidated access to finance data, and time and cost efficiencies from replacing three or four prior instances with a single unified EPM platform.
