In 2018, SWIFT US implemented UKG Workforce Central HR (ex Kronos Workforce HR) under the Core HR category to unify timekeeping, HR, payroll and benefits functions across its hourly workforce in the United States while supporting broader global business needs. The engagement covered a company scale deployment that included production support for approximately 20,000 end users and device management for over 200 time clocks.
The implementation encompassed the core WFC suite and adjacent modules, specifically Workforce Central, calculated accruals, absence management, Workforce Accruals (WFA), Workforce Timekeeper, Device Manager, Data Collection Manager, SDM, WIM, Workforce Forecasting and Scheduling, Advanced Scheduler with Forecasting, Kronos Workforce Payroll 8.1.3, Benefits and Human Resources. Configuration work included pay rules, pay codes, work rules, wage profiles, labor levels, schedules and shifts, accrual definitions for PTO vacation and sick, hyperfind queries, shift and pattern templates, holiday tables and Function Access Profiles.
Systems integration and operational interfaces were a focal point, with inbound WIM feeds for employee demographics, outbound payroll hour and wage exports to SAP and ADP, a people import from PeopleSoft, and custom punch export and import routines between eTime and WFC. Operational coverage combined production support of the Kronos Confidential Management Suite and Workforce Device Manager, Tier II end user support for timekeeping and leave modules, and direct coordination between business stakeholders and the internal UKG technical team.
Governance and rollout activities included full project lifecycle management from business justification and stakeholder identification through testing, go live and hypercare, plus change management, QA and UAT coordination. Deliverables included training materials, quick reference guides, documented HR policies and user workflows, and a successful upgrade and deployment of Workforce Central from WFC 6.3 to WFC 8.0 while maintaining ongoing configuration and support.
