In 2018, Telesystem implemented ChikPea O2B as part of a deployment addressing Subscription and Recurring Billing. The ChikPea O2B rollout standardized CPQ, order management, work-order scheduling and billing for Telesystem, with a primary focus on telecom order management across the NW Ohio region.
The implementation configured CPQ to enforce standardized quoting and proposal templates, and it embedded telecom order management workflows to orchestrate order capture through fulfillment. Work-order scheduling capabilities were used to coordinate field implementation activities and reduce manual scheduling handoffs. Billing was implemented to consume order events and drive subscription billing processes in ChikPea O2B, aligning invoicing to order and provisioning status.
Integration efforts emphasized end-to-end order-to-billing continuity, the case study documents billing integration with ChikPea that links TOM events to the billing pipeline. Operational coverage included sales quoting, provisioning and operations teams in the NW Ohio footprint, with process orchestration between front-end CPQ and back-office billing components.
Governance changes concentrated on standardizing quoting and implementation workflows, reducing ad hoc scheduling decisions and formalizing order handoff procedures. Reported outcomes in the case study include a reduction in quote and proposal labor of approximately 30 percent and a 20 to 25 percent reduction in implementation scheduling cycle times.
