SAP Legacy SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits Benefits Administration HCM HR Path 2023 2024
In 2023, the Brenda Strafford Foundation implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits as part of a Benefits Administration initiative tied to a broader SAP SuccessFactors suite rollout. The deployment is framed alongside SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals and SAP SuccessFactors Learning, with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors Compensation scheduled to go live in coordination with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits was configured to centralize benefits enrollment and eligibility workflows, standardize benefit plan definitions, and automate lifecycle events consistent with Benefits Administration capabilities. The implementation included configuration of core Employee Central records and benefits-specific business rules, and the project team applied standard HR process automation to reduce manual administration and support benefits lifecycle management. Integrations were implemented to connect SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits with the broader SuccessFactors module set and with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition to align payroll, compensation and core HR data flows. The program was executed in partnership with HR Path as the global implementation and reselling partner, while the Foundation also worked with SAP and SAP partner VistaVu Solutions as part of the SAP ecosystem engagement. Operational coverage aligns with the Foundation’s corporate services and HR functions across its long-term care and assisted-living communities in Calgary and Okotoks, Alberta, and supports local programs and international health services described by the organization. Governance and rollout followed a phased SAP SuccessFactors-first approach, centralizing benefits administration in Employee Central and sequencing Payroll and Compensation to activate integrated end-to-end HR to finance processes in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition. Stakeholder objectives called out by leadership emphasized faster finalization of accounts and improved operational efficiencies, and the Foundation explicitly positioned the deployment to release administrative time toward more person-centered care and support for research and innovation.
