MHR (formerly MidlandHR) Legacy MHR iTrent HR Core HR HCM n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy implemented MHR iTrent HR as its Core HR system, positioning the application as the first point of contact for all people related enquiries. MHR iTrent HR was used to enforce fairness and consistency in the application and interpretation of HR policies and to centralize HR administrative workflows across the organisation. The implementation covered core personnel record management, contract issuance and variations, onboarding for new starters, and processing leavers. The platform supported recruitment workflows including advertising guidance, shortlisting assistance, interview coordination with heads of departments, and liaison with external recruitment agencies when required, aligning the MHR iTrent HR application to standard Core HR functional processes. Operational responsibilities included acting as the system administrator for HFX flexi-time and MHR iTrent HR, maintaining employee records, training new starters on both systems, and investigating and escalating system issues. The HR team worked directly with finance and an external payroll provider to ensure payroll related changes were recorded accurately, in line with the organisation's auditing framework and payroll deadlines, demonstrating integration of Core HR data into payroll and finance processes. Governance and process work focused on developing strong working relationships with the POD Team, senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders to ensure work aligned to the people plan and organisational strategy. The team also identified areas for continuous improvement in systems, processes and policies, embedding procedural controls and role based administration within MHR iTrent HR to support consistent HR operations for an organisation of approximately 420 employees.
