In 2020, The GEM Group implemented Saly PIM to consolidate product content management for its North America promotional-products business, using Saly PIM as a Product Information Management platform to align marketing and IT around a single source of truth. The deployment consolidated structured product records and unstructured assets to support catalog, web, and distributor-facing content streams for the company’s promotional-products portfolio.
The implementation combined PIM, digital asset management, and syndication capabilities inside Saly PIM, with configuration focused on product and content workflows that govern attribute models, asset linking, and channel-ready product representations. Workflows were instrumented to support product introductions, SKU attribute normalization, and automated syndication packages, enabling marketing to prepare launches and IT to enforce data quality and schema consistency.
Operational scope included North America distributor and ERP integrations, with explicit work on ERP and distributor connectivity to accelerate content delivery to market. Governance shifted to a centralized content workflow runbook and cross-functional approval paths between marketing and IT, improving accuracy for product launches and speeding content delivery to market.
