The Serrala FinanceSuite implementation used FS² solutions fully integrated into SAP S/4HANA to provide Payments, Cash Application, eBAM and account statement capabilities. Core functional modules included automated processing of bank statements, advices and lockbox files, and the establishment of a global payment factory to centralize outbound payment orchestration.
Integration with SAP S/4HANA embedded bank communication directly into the ERP, enabling automated cash application and reconciliation flows inside the SAP transaction landscape. Operational scope emphasized finance and treasury functions, consolidating administration of bank accounts and signatories for compliant, centralized governance.
Governance changes included central and compliant administration of bank accounts and signatories and workflow standardization around bank communications and payment processing. The project delivered faster processes and reduced manual tasks according to the case study, and ThyssenKrupp was Highly Commended in 2018 by the Adam Smith Award in the category Best Risk Management Solution.

Rollout and governance were organized as a multi-module HR and payroll program with employee self-service adoption driving transactional HR operations, and configuration focused on meeting local statutory requirements. The case study highlights the compressed implementation timeline and the enabling of locally compliant payroll processing as primary outcomes for the implemented entity.
