| Acumatica | Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise | Acumatica Cloud ERP | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | Klear Systems | 2020 | 2020 | In 2020, ToughBuilt implemented Acumatica Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform to scale accounting, inventory and order management beyond Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise. Acumatica was cited in the company case as supporting a revenue increase of nearly 25 percent in 2019, and the deployment was run with implementation partner Klear Systems to support the company’s manufacturing and distribution growth plans. The implementation used Acumatica Advanced Financials with Inventory Management and CRM as core modules, and incorporated third-party extensions including Artsyl’s OrderAction/docAlpha for automated document capture, Avalara for tax automation, DataSelf for business intelligence and MAPADOC for document flows. Configuration focused on automating order entry workflows and expense capture, moving multi-line orders from manual 15-minute entries to automated processing that reduced order entry time by about 13 minutes per order, enabling roughly 400 orders to be processed automatically in a typical week and eliminating about 20 hours of weekly data entry previously required. Integrations tied Acumatica Cloud ERP to online sales channels and 3PL partners to improve inventory visibility across multiple warehouses and contract manufacturers, addressing the lack of native EDI capabilities that had constrained operations in QuickBooks. The deployment delivered anywhere access via Acumatica Mobile for sales and executives, and extended to ToughBuilt operational footprint that includes U.S. offices, manufacturing in India and China, offices in London and Shanghai, and 3PL shippers in Mexico and Canada. Governance and process restructuring centered on shared dashboards and reports, with roughly 5,000 DataSelf reports built for near real-time insight and executive decision support. OrderAction’s intelligent extraction converted emailed physical orders and digital sales orders into Acumatica transactions, shortening days outstanding and freeing finance staff to focus on reporting and analysis. The cloud pricing and resource-based licensing approach was cited as a factor in affordability, and the automation outcomes explicitly stated include eliminating manual processes, avoiding the need to add three to four order-entry hires, improving inventory visibility with contract manufacturers, and enabling reinvestment to hire additional R&D staff. |
