| Sage | Legacy | Sage 200 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 TransCal implemented Sage 200 as its ERP Financial application to centralize financial and costing workflows across its Livingston headquarters and remote manufacturing or supplier sites in Poland, Singapore, and Indonesia. The implementation was stewarded by the Quality & Project Manager, who participated on the implementation team and became the Sage 200 administrator, establishing the system as a central record for financial, quality, and project-related data.
The Sage 200 deployment focused on configuring core financial management and accounting ledgers, cost accounting and fault costing capabilities, inventory control aligned to supplier quality records, and project-level costing to support First Article Inspection reporting and APQP deliverables. Reporting and configuration emphasized capturing operational KPIs such as OTIF and COPQ, enabling the Quality & Project Manager to compile KPI datasets into structured formats for executive management review.
Operational coverage extended beyond finance to quality, procurement, and project management functions, with the system used to record supplier audits, desktop and onsite audit findings, CAA regulatory audit artifacts, PPAP submissions, PSW documentation, and NCR investigation records. The administrator role included crafting the application-side documentation and workflows to support APQP and PPAP processes and to associate NCR investigations with cost entries in Sage 200, making the ERP Financial instance a transactional source for cross-functional governance.
Governance and process change accompanied the rollout, driven by the Quality & Project Manager through management review meetings, audit scheduling and execution across sites, and updates to quality management documentation. Sage 200 served as the configurable platform for associating quality events with financial entries and for enforcing process discipline across quality, finance, and project teams.
