In 2020, Truemed implemented Amazon Pay as its Payment Processing solution on the public Truemed website. Amazon Pay was embedded into the site checkout flow to manage payment authorization and tokenization for online orders, with the payment deployment serving customers in Mexico and supporting the companys e-commerce activity.
Deployment leveraged Amazon Web Services infrastructure for site hosting and for server side endpoints that validate and record Amazon Pay transactions, while the Amazon Pay service handled authorization, tokenization, and settlement interfaces. Functional capabilities implemented included the client side checkout widget integration, payment authorization and capture workflows, and reconciliation outputs that feed the companies finance process, with governance oriented around e-commerce operations and finance teams managing exceptions and refunds through the Amazon Pay merchant tools.
