SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Bank Austria implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial platform. The implementation focused on embedding trade finance and treasury message processing into the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 core to support corporate banking operations. Within SAP ERP ECC 6.0 Bank Austria configured message import automation for the SWIFT MT 798 standard to enable multibank communication and automatic ingestion of guarantees and letters of credit into ERP transaction records. Functional capabilities centered on trade finance processing, automated settlement message handling for improved controlling and reporting, and treasury interfacing to consolidate incoming bank communications. Integrations required a direct connection to SWIFT and the bank to maintain its own BIC address, with the option for a SWIFT Service Bureau or SWIFT to manage the connection and BIC provisioning. The setup leverages secure host to host SWIFT transmission and supports multibank enabled workflows so corporates working with several banks can route all Trade Finance messages through a single channel integrated into SAP ERP ECC 6.0. Governance and operational controls were aligned to continuous automatic checks and reduced manual intervention across Trade Finance and Treasury operations, enabling 24 hour electronic access to communication and real time transfer of information into the ERP system. The configuration supports improved controlling and reporting and reduces operational risk through secure transmission and automated validation.
